Đây là bài luyện nói theo cặp (Speaking), không có đáp số tính toán. Học sinh dùng bốn câu hỏi gợi ý để hỏi – đáp về địa điểm tham quan yêu thích, sau đó dùng ngôi thứ ba tường thuật lại cho cả lớp về bạn của mình. Dưới đây là một bài mẫu hoàn chỉnh.

a) Hỏi – đáp theo cặp (Sample conversation)

A: What is your favourite place of interest?
B: My favourite place of interest is Hoan Kiem Lake.

A: How far is it from your house?
B: It's about two kilometres from my house.

A: How often do you go to that place?
B: I go there almost every weekend.

A: What do you do there?
B: I usually walk around the lake, take photos of Turtle Tower and enjoy the fresh air. Sometimes I visit Ngoc Son Temple with my family.

b) Tường thuật lại trước lớp (Report – dùng ngôi thứ ba, đổi *my → his/her*, động từ thêm *-s/-es*)

*(Nếu bạn cùng cặp tên là Nam):*

> Nam's favourite place of interest is Hoan Kiem Lake. It's about two kilometres from his house. He goes there almost every weekend. There, he usually walks around the lake, takes photos of Turtle Tower and enjoys the fresh air. Sometimes he visits Ngoc Son Temple with his family.

Lưu ý ngôn ngữ khi trình bày:
- Khi tường thuật, đổi đại từ: *my → his/her*, *I → he/she*.
- Động từ chia ngôi thứ ba số ít: *go → goes*, *walk → walks*, *take → takes*, *enjoy → enjoys*, *visit → visits*.
- Câu hỏi khoảng cách dùng How far…? → trả lời *It's + (about) + số + kilometre(s) from…*
- Câu hỏi tần suất dùng How often…? → trả lời bằng trạng từ/cụm chỉ tần suất: *every weekend, twice a month, once a week…*
